A video made with and without SONY Electronics Inc.
“sinSONYdo” (without sound, in English) paraphrases an emblematic trademark in the history of audiovisual technology. Starting with an advertising video, little by little, it’s becoming through five screens into something more artistic, diachronic, abstract, manufactured, silent, at the end a different product, a video-art. It is a process in a de-constructive way where color, text, image, and even the sound, starts fading out to find the human and momentous character behind each artifice. It is a critique to consumerism and a debt with the human and culture. It makes reference to silent movies, to remade, but it is also a reference to precarious, to paradox, to art.
